The utility scale solar park developed at Howton in Cornwall generates 5MW (megawatts) of electricity and consists of 17,856 solar panels. Built onto the south facing slope of a valley, you may just glimpse this site from the A38 driving into Saltas

Approval for solar farms
CORNWALL COUNCIL has granted permission for two new solar farms in the Saltash countryside.
Low Carbon Solar Partners will erect the panels at HOWTON FARM, Pillaton, and West Kingsmill Farm, Hatt.

Siemens Gamesa bags firm turbine order for 882-MW Moray West
June 23 (Renewables Now) - Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME:SGRE) has secured a firm order to supply 882 MW of turbines for the Moray West offshore wind project off Scotland, the company said.
