Godley Reservoir
The Godley Reservoir is a reservoir in Godley, HYDE, Greater Manchester. It was completed in 1851, as a critical part of the Longdendale Chain project that brought fresh water to Manchester.

Europe's largest floating solar farm to open
The previous largest floating solar farm in Europe was opened in HYDE, Greater Manchester, at Christmas. It measures 45,500 sq m but it and the new farm are both dwarfed by the world's largest.

HYDE landfill site earmarked for solar farm plan
The Dunkirk Farm site to the west of the junction of M67 and Dukinfield Road in HYDE, was formerly home to a rubbish tip. It was sold to Landcare (Manchester) Ltd, which is now working with Cheshire-based Green Energy on the plans.

Gruggandoo Wind Farm April 2017
The proposed scheme would have an installed capacity of 39.6MW, comprising 12 turbines, each with a maximum blade tip height of 125m and a hub height of 75m. Access to the site will be taken from Mullgahgarriff Road for all turbines.
