69 wind turbines to be added to the existing scheme (agreed)

The Burbo 90MW offshore wind farm uses Siemens 3.6MW turbines, the largest yet to be installed in UK waters. The Dong Energy project which starts generation in October was developed by Wind Prospect.

Vestas aims to start serial production of 80 metre blades in the second quarter of 2015, which will be used for the new 8MW turbine that has provisionally been chosen for Dong Energys Burbo Bank extension project in Liverpool Bay.
