Lairg Wind Farm is now fully operational after construction work finished at the beginning of 2012. Lairg, located in the Scottish Highlands, consists of three Nordex N80 turbines and will generate an output of 7.5MW. We are now undergoing a period of post construction restoration around the site. Lairg represents ABO Winds first build in the UK with more projects at either planning or acquisition stages.

Following the recent result of the appeal of the Judicial Review on StroneLAIRG wind farm, SSEs Wholesale business is now undertaking further work to see whether it will be possible to accredit the project under the Renewables Obligation.
