Shell has signed a deal to buy all of the power from Englandís largest solar park, the 69.8MW Bradenstoke development, once RAF Lyneham, near Swindon.

Wiltshire solar farm granted retrospective planning permission
The Norrington solar farm at Broughton Gifford, Wiltshire was originally granted planning permission in June 2013, and construction was completed and the project sold to a new owner shortly afterwards.

Police probe complaints over council decision to back Llanbadgrig
In December, Anglesey councilís planning committee approved Countryside Renewablesí plans for the 49.9MW scheme covering 220 acres of farmland near Cemaes.

Forest Heath council's solar farm is shining
Toggam Solar Farm near Lakenheath, one of the biggest local authority-owned solar farms in the UK, is still generating enough electricity to offset the carbon footprint of 1,700 cars and power 3,500 homes.

The firm, which has now gone into liquidation, is lead contractor on the county councilís Westhampnett solar farm project near Chichester.
